Comment Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Comments are here so readers can ask questions, share experiences and learn from each other. To keep this a safe and respectful space, all comments follow these rules.

How moderation works

  • Your first comment is held for approval before it appears. After that, comments from the same name and email may appear automatically, but can still be removed.
  • Spam is filtered automatically.
  • We may edit, hide or delete any comment, and close comments on any article, at our discretion.

Please do

  • Be respectful and kind, even when you disagree.
  • Stay on topic.
  • Share your own experience rather than telling others what is wrong with them.

Please don’t

  • Post personal attacks, insults, hate speech, threats or harassment.
  • Share private details about yourself or anyone else (full names, phone numbers, addresses, medical records).
  • Post sexually explicit content, graphic violence or anything illegal.
  • Advertise, post links to sell products, or spam.
  • Give medical or medication advice to other readers.
  • Impersonate anyone.

A note on personal and health questions

Comments are public. Please don’t share sensitive health information. We can’t diagnose or give personal treatment advice in the comments. For one-to-one help, see Book a Session.

Crisis

The comments are not monitored around the clock and are not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in danger, contact your local emergency number now.

Your data

When you comment, we store your name, email (not shown publicly), comment and the technical data needed to prevent spam. See our Privacy Policy.
